The V/H/S horror anthology series is getting a new entry, with the working title of V/H/S 94. Bloody Disgusting has announced following an initial report by THR that they are producing the new film, which will be spearheaded by David Buckner. Buckner directed the first film’s “Amateur Night” segment and has written and developed the new film which he will also produce.

The film will also be produced by Radio Silence (Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, and Chad Villella), who also directed a segment, “10/31/98,” in the first V/H/S. The collective is best known these days for Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett’s Ready or Not which released last year and are set to direct the next Scream film for Spyglass Media. Brad Miska and Tom Owen will produce for BD along with Josh Goldbloom and Parinda Patel of Cinepocalypse Productions in partnership with Studio71

The new entry will, as the working title suggests, go back to 1994 and will feature segments directed by Simon Banner (You’re Next), Timo Tjahjanto (The Night Comes For Us) and Chloe Okuno. More directors will be announced at a later date. THR refers to the film as a “reboot” although BD did not confirm that, and said that the film will be “presented in a single, fluid narrative, with each section linked up.”

Raven Banner Entertainment is handling worldwide sales and will introduce the project to buyers at the Virtual Cannes Market this week.

The original film premiered at Sundance in 2012 and became a hit, leading to 2013’s V/H/S/2 and 2014’s V/H/S: Viral.
