Vin Diesel Praises John Cena’s Fast & Furious 9 Work In New Set Video
Vin Diesel is putting over his co-star John Cena’s work in the new Fast & Furious film via a video from the set. Diesel shared the video on Instagram, as you can see below, commemorating Cena’s last day of filming.
“Week 16, Fast 9,” Diesel said. “And it truly is, as [co-star] Jordana [Brewster] says, a bittersweet moment. Because someone who’ve I’ve had the great pleasure of working with — John Cena — is finally filming his last day. I have to tell you, world. When you see him in this movie, when you see his character come to life, you will be blown away. You are going to be ecstatic about what he’s contributed to this saga. I’m so, so, so, so, so proud of him, I can’t even put it into words. John Cena’s last day.”
Cena then chimed in to add, “I know a lot of you are asking questions about, ‘What do you do in the movie? Why are you here? What can we expect?’ I have many of those answers. You are going to have to wait and see the movie. You are in for a wild ride, I can tell you that.”
Cena’s role is currently unknown in the film. He and Diesel co-star with Charlize Theron, Nathalie Emmanuel, Michelle Rodriguez, Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Helen Mirren, Michael Rooker, Finn Cole, and Anna Sawai. The latest installment opens on May 22nd, 2020.
