As previously reported, the acquisition of 20th Century Fox by The Walt Disney Company became official today. The Walt Disney Company website has now updated its company banner, which now includes an image of Bart Simpsons from The Simpsons. You can see that image below.

Disney’s acquisition of Fox assets included franchises such as The Simpsons and Family Guy. However, the acquisition of Fox assets didn’t include the FOX Network, for which The Simspons airs. Previously, Fox renewed the series for two additional seasons last month.

According to IGN, Disney could technically consider shopping the series to other networks after it concludes its 32nd season. Also, FOX CEO Dana Walden said in August 2018 that there no plans for the show to go anywhere.

The recent renewal for the show will bring the long-running animated series to 713 total episodes. The show has aired on FOX since it debuted back in 1989.
