Warner Bros. Moves Up Release Date for Godzilla vs. King Kong Remake, Delays New Scooby-Doo Films to 2020

Warner Bros. has announced a change in release dates for the planned Godzilla vs. King Kong remake due out in 2020, along with some other release date shifts. As of now, the Legendary Pictures Godzilla vs. King Kong movie is scheduled for May 22, 2020. The film was originally slated to debut on May 29, 2020. This now puts the film out for the Memorial Day weekend. Meanwhile, the next Godzilla movie, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, is due to arrive on March 22, 2019.

Meanwhile, Warner Bros. has also moved up the release date for the upcoming comedy Game Night. The film will now release two days earlier on February 14, 2018 instead of February 16. The comedy stars Kyle Chandler, Jason Bateman, Rachel McAdams, Jesse Plemons, Kylie Bunbury, Lamorne Morris, and Billy Magnussen. The story follows a group of couples who have one of their routine game nights, but then everything goes wrong and it turns into a murder mystery.

Additionally, the new animated Scooby-Doo movie, Scooby, has had its release date delayed for nearly two years. The film has been now been shifted from September 21, 2018 to May 15, 2020.
