Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds To Star In Musical Remake of A Christmas Carol

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds are set to star in yet another Hollywood adaptation of A Christmas Carol, only this one will be a musical (itself something that has been done a number of times). The film will be written and directed by Sean Anders and John Morris, the team behind the Daddy’s Home films that also starred Ferrell. It’s being shopped around Hollywood and multiple studios are bidding on it.

Ferrell’s Gloria Sanchez will produce with Reynolds’ Maximum Effort, Anders and Morris. The last major adaptation of Charles Dickens’ 1843 novel was Disney’s 2009 animated feature, directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Jim Carrey.
