Willem Dafoe Joins Cast of Beetlejuice 2

Willem Dafoe is the latest star to join Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice 2. THR reports that the Boondock Saints and Spider-Man: No Way Home star has signed onto the upcoming sequel. The site reports that Dafoe will be playing a cop in the afterlife.

Dafoe joins a cast that includes Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Jenna Ortega, Catherine O’Hara, Justin Theroux, and Monica Bellucci. Burton is directing the long-awaited sequel to the 1988 supernatural comedy, which will see Ortega play the daughter of Ryder’s Lydia Deetz. The film was written by Mike Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg, who wrote earlier drafts of the script, are producing.

The sequel is set to release on September 6th, 2024.
