Wonder Woman 1984 isn’t going to streaming as rumored, but it will hit us a little later than planned. Deadline reports that the DC film, which stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Pedro Pascal and Kristen Wiig, will now release on August 14th instead of the originally-planned June 5th.

Deadline reports that the plan was always to give the film a theatrical released, despite the report — quickly denied by Warner Bros. — that a release on HBO Max was considered. The blockbuster is too high-profile for the studio to let go straight into homes without a theatrical release that will spike the ancillary revenue of home viewing.

“When we greenlit WW 1984 it was with every intention to be viewed on the big screen and are excited to announce that Warner Bros Pictures will be bringing the film to theaters on August 14th. We hope the world will be in a safer and healthier place by then,” Warner Bros Motion Picture Group chairman Toby Emmerich said in a statement.
