Writer Hired For Marvel’s Hawkeye Series

The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Marvel Studios has hired Jonathan Igla (Mad Men) to be the writer and executive producer for the upcoming Disney+ series Hawkeye. The series will star Jeremy Renner once again as Clint Barton, the member of the Avengers who has no superpowers but is a very impressive shot with a bow and arrow (among other useful talents). In the series, he tries to teach Kate Bishop how to be a hero with no super powers.

The series is expected to arrive in the fall of 2021. It’s part of Phase Four, along with other Disney+ shows like Falcon and the Winter Soldier (fall 2020), WandaVision (spring 2021) and Loki (spring 2021). Marvel’s also planning shows for She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight.
