UPDATED: Young Rock Reportedly Casting For Jerry Lawler & More For Season Two

UPDATE: PWInsider has an update on more wrestling legends who are expected to appear in Season 2 of Young Rock, which will begin production next month in Australia:

* Pat Patterson
* George “The Animal” Steele
* King Tonga aka Haku

The following real-life wrestlers are currently in the process of being cast for the show’s upcoming season for the hit NBC series.

ORIGINAL: The second season of Young Rock will feature several more portrayals of real-life 1980s stars, according to a new report. PWInsider reports that the NBC sitcom based on Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s life is casting actors to portray Jerry Lawler, Tommy Rich, Bam Bam Bigelow and more for the upcoming season.

The show is set to begin production next month in Australia and according to the site, the following roles are being cast:

* Jerry Lawler, Tommy Rich and a young Bam Bam Bigelow are being cast for an episode that will be set in Memphis Wrestling in the ’80s.

* Haystacks Calhoun

* Gene Okerlund, Big John Studd, Freddie Blassie, and Mr. Fuji and more personalities from WWE in the 1980s.

*The Great Kabuki.

The site notes that Roddy Piper and several other wrestlers from season one are being re-cast. The show will continue filming through January for the 10-episode second season.
