Young Rock Reportedly On The Bubble For Renewal At NBC
Young Rock is still in limbo regarding a potential fourth season, and a new report notes that it is on the bubble for renewal. The Dwayne Johnson-produced sitcom about the WWE star and actor’s life was not among those announced shows for the fall schedule at NBC, and Deadline reports that it’s among those that the network has yet to make decisions on. According to the outlet there has been little word about its future which suggests it may not come back, but that it has had decent delayed viewing boosts that will weigh in its favor along with Johnson’s star power.
The series joins American Auto and Grand Crew as bubble shows for the network. Young Rock concluded its 13-episode third season in February and stars Johnson along with Joseph Lee Anderson, Stacey Leilua, Ana Tuisila, Adrian Groulx, Bradley Constant, Uli Latukefu, Fasitua Amosa, John Tui and Matthew Willig. It documents Johnson’s life at various stages including as a child, during his University of Miami football days and in the early stages of his WWE career.
