Zack Snyder has posted a storyboard to Vero from Justice League following Henry Cavill’s reported departure from the role of Superman. You can see the image below, courtesy of Screen Rant. Cavill reportedly stepped down from the role that he has played in several Worlds of DC films after negotiations with the studio fell through.

The meaning behind Snyder’s post is as yet unclear. The storyboard appears to be from Justice League, though the quote is from Man of Steel in which Superman has surrended to the US government and is asked about his iconic symbol by Lois Lane.

Cavill has yet to comment on leaving the role, and Warner Bros. has muddied the waters with a statement which read, “We have a great relationship and great respect for Henry Cavill that continues to remain unchanged. Additionally we have made no current decisions regarding any upcoming Superman films.” Of course, this statement doesn’t address whether Cavill has actually left the role or not, only whether any future Superman movies will take place.
