Beyonce’s Attempt To Trademark Her Daughter’s Name Blocked By Blue Ivy Company

May 11, 2017 | Posted by Joseph Lee

TMZ reports that a company called Blue Ivy has blocked Beyonce’s attempt to trade mark her daughter Blue Ivy Carter’s name for a variety of products. Beyonce filed the application to own the name “Blue Ivy Carter” earlier this year for products including cosmetics, mobile devices, video games and more.

Blue Ivy, the company, was in business three years before the child was born. They said that Jay Z is on record as saying they don’t actually plan to sell products with the name, they just want to prevent others from doing so. It’s the second time the event planning company has tried to stop her. She originally tried to get the name trademarked without “Carter.”
