Cardi B Debut Album Invasion of Privacy Shatters Records on Apple Music
April 13, 2018 | Posted by

The Verge reports that Cardi B’s debut album, Invasion of Privacy, had some record sales on Apple Music. The album had over 100 million streams on the service, setting a new record for first-week streams by a female artist.
Additionally, the album doubled the previous streaming record for Apple Music, which was previously held Taylor Swift’s ReputationStarboy and Ed Sheeran’s Divide.
The figure is impressive because debut albums usually don’t set or break streaming records that were set by Taylor Swift, so the figure is a pretty impressive accomplishment for Cardi B.
Apple Music is currently at 40 million subscribers and growing.
