TMZ has another report on the apparent lawsuit from R&B singer Chris Brown against the alleged female victim who accused him of rape. As reported earlier, French authorities released Brown from custody earlier this week due to apparent holes in the woman’s account of the alleged incident.

According to the latest report, French lawyer Raphael Chiche filed a complaint on Thursday (Jan. 24) that was titled, “false accusation, committed on January 18, 2019.” A document on the complaint cites a criminal statute that relates to the invasion of privacy. A violation of that law carries a maximum prison sentence of one year.

A source close to Chris Brown stated that while the singer acknowledges he’s had “issues in the past,” he believes he’s become “an easy target for anyone to cry wolf.”

The French authorities allowed Brown to leave without conditions. However, the singer opted to remain in Paris to continue work on a music video. However, the investigation is reportedly still ongoing as of this time.
