Chris Cornell’s 12-year-old daughter Toni appeared on Good Morning America this morning to pay tribute to both her father and late Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington. She performed Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” backed by OneRepublic. Cornell and Bennington were friends for years and performed together several times. Cornell died in May while Bennington died last month. Both men’s deaths were ruled as suicides.

She said: “It’s an honor to perform this for my dad and Chester and to sing for them.

OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder added: “Chester sang this at Chris’ funeral, and this is arguably one of the greatest songs written in the last 50 years. It’s a very special song to us, and I think to most people and especially to Toni [Cornell] as well.

Linkin Park were set to perform on this episode for the “GMA” Summer Concert series prior to Bennington’s death.
