Chuck Berry Passes Away at 90

– According to TMZ, Rock ‘& Roll legend Chuck berry passed away today outside of St. Louis. The site reports that St. Charles County police responded to a medical emergency call and found Berry unresponsive; they performed CPR, but weren’t able to resuscitate him and he was pronounced dead at 1:26 PM. Berry was 90, and at this time, police have not released a cause of death. Berry is best known for his hits “Johnny B. Goode,” “Roll Over Beethoven,” “Maybellene.”

Berry is credited as an influence on the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and anyone who played electric guitar. Berry was one of the first Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees in 1986.
