Criminal Charges Against Jon Bon Jovi’s Daughter Dropped in Heroine Arrest

November 15, 2012 | Posted by Jeffrey Harris

TMZ reports that the criminal drug charges against Jon Bon Jovi’s daughter she was facing after allegedly overdosing on heroin in a college dorm have been dropped.

A representative for the Oneida County District Attorney’s Office says they are dismissing all criminal charges against the 19-year-old daughter of Jon Bon Jovi, Stephanie Bongiovi. Charges were also reportedly dropped against the 21-year-old male student that was also allegedly involved with the overdose.

Stephanie was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and criminally using drug paraphernalia. The 21-year-old male was also charged with drug possession.

According to the report, the DA dropped the charges because of a New York law that specifically prohibits prosecution of people experiencing a drug overdose as well as the people who help them seek medical care.
