Rolling Stone reports that President Donald Trump is set to sign a copyright reform bill called the Music Modernization Act into law today, after it passed both houses of Congress during the summer. Artists like Kanye West and Kid Rock will be on hand for the ceremony.

The MMA was created for three purposes. The first is to ensure that songwriters and artists receive royalties for songs recorded before 1972. The second is to set aside royalties for music producers. Finally, the last is to update licensing and royalty rules for streaming services in a “more streamlined” way, to set up an independent group that will handle that. Music creators will now be paid more and have a more secure way to get what they’re owed.

This comes after news that there would be a meeting between West, Trump and Jared Kushner. Both West and Kid Rock have been vocal Trump supporters in the past. Recording Academy President Neil Portnow and Recording Industry Association of America president Mitch Glazier will also attend the ceremony, which was scheduled for 11:45 ET.
