Michael Jackson’s Thriller is no longer the best-selling album of all-time, losing that spot to The Eagles’ Greatest Hits. THR reports that the RIAA has certified the greatest hits LP as thirty-eight times platinum, with 38 million copies between sales and streaming numbers. That pushes Thriller down to second place with 33 million copies.

In addition, Hotel California is now the third-best selling album of all-time with 26 million copies sold. The last time the RIAA certified Greatest Hits it was at 29x platinum. The sales and streaming numbers for Thriller were updated last year.

Streaming numbers are incorporated differently than album sales, for obvious reasons. Now 1,500 streams of an album is equivalent to a single copy sold, and ten song downloads equals an album sold.

“We are grateful for our families, our management, our crew, the people at radio and, most of all, the loyal fans who have stuck with us through the ups and downs of 46 years. It’s been quite a ride,” Don Henley said in a statement.
