IRS Investigating ICP’s Shaggy 2 Dope

July 15, 2015 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

The co-leader of the Juggalos is in trouble with the feds. Billboard reports that the IRS is investigating Insane Clown Posse member Shaggy 2 Dope’s income statements for 2011 and 2012.

The site reports that Shaggy, real name Joseph Utsler, was the subject of a court a hearing on Wednesday in which the IRS asked a judge to enforce a summons against him. The government says that he didn’t appear for scheduled meetings in March and May, where he was supposed to bring financial records.

A call to Shaggy’s lawyer by Billboard wasn’t returned. Both Shaggy and his partner Violent J locked horns with the US Justice Department in a separate case over a report in 2010 which described Juggalos as a “hybrid criminal gang.” The duo’s case was thrown out last July.
