TMZ reports that Jay-Z allegedly convinced Meek Mill not to attend a meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House today. Sources connected to Jay-Z, however, have denied that the rapper forced or convinced Mill to do so. They claim he made the decision after talking to several people.

Trump is holding a Prison Reform Summit with members of Congress, activists and those who are victims of the prison system. Jay spoke to Meek last night, along with other high-profile African Americans.

Mill said: “I was originally scheduled to be part of a panel on Prison Reform at the White House to help shed light on the issues within the system. Unfortunately, the focus turned to the President and Myself which concerned me that it might take away from creating a positive result from today’s discussions. As a result, I decided not to attend so that the focus would be solely on fixing our prison system. Most importantIy I remain fully committed to improving our criminal justice system.
