People Magazine has a report on why Kanye West recently deleted his social media accounts. According to the report, the rapper started to feel his rants were becoming unhealthy.

An alleged source that’s close to the rapper claimed, “Kanye got to the point where he realized his rants were becoming unhealthy. This is why he deleted his account.” The source added, “When he gets into these Twitter rants, it’s very difficult for him to stop. It’s like an obsession and it actually affects his life. He knows it’s not healthy, so he wants to take things down a notch.”

Additionally, West was advised to take a break from social media for the sake of their relationship and their kids: son Saint; and daughters North and Chicago. The source continued, “Kim agreed it was time for him to take a social media break. She just wants him to focus on his family for a bit now. He can also focus better on his music and being creative when he avoids social media.”

Previously, West has quit social media in the past. He was off Twitter for almost a year before he returned to the platform last April. West is also said to be dealing with bipolar disorder and has reportedly had issues with his medication.

The insider close to West went on, “Kanye is fine with the kids, and there is zero worry about him being around his own children. He adores them, and would never do anything to damage them.”
