Lil Wayne Track Saves a Soldier in Afghanistan

Some of us may think that Lil Wayne’s music isn’t worth much, but one US soldier is crediting it with saving his life. Digital Spy reports that Private First Class Lander Chappell credits Wayne’s song “Tie My Hands” featuring Robin Thicke with keeping him alive after he lost his leg in a roadside bomb explosion.

According to Chappell, he recited the song while waiting for rescue. He notes, “It got my mind off it and finally the medevac came. We were still singing. We get on to the medevac. It’s one of the things I really appreciate him doing for me.”
