Maroon 5, Travis Scott, and Big Boi took the stage at Super Bowl LIII on Sunday to perform for the halftime show, and yep…it was indeed a performance. Maroon 5 hit the stage to perform their Super Bowl set accompanied by Scott and Boi, and you can see the video below. The band performed bits of several of their biggest hits including “Harder to Breathe,” “This Love,” “Girls Like You,” “She Will Be Loved,” and “Moves Like Jagger,” with Scott and Big Boi performing “Sicko Mode” and “The Way You Move,” respectively.

The performance is going over like a rock online, with critics slamming it. It’s been called “terrible,” dynamically flat,” “[an] empty-calorie display of corporate-pop competence,” and the “dullest…most underwhelming and instantly forgettable halftime show of all time.” The best shade was from Variety, who slammed both the halftime show and the game by saying that “Maroon 5’s Super Bowl halftime performance was every bit as thrilling as the game itself.”

And fan reaction on Twitter…well, it was not particularly positive on the whole, to say the least. You can see a selection of reactions below:
