TMZ has a new update on the ongoing story of rapper Nelly being accused of rape. As previously reported, Nelly was arrested on Saturday (Oct. 7) and charged with second degree rape after a woman claimed he sexually assaulted her on his tour bus that morning.

The woman accusing Nelly of rape is a 21-year-old resident of Seattle, Washington. She reportedly claimed that she was partying with Nelly before he forced her to have sex with him without a condom. Per the report, she was partying a club in Washington, where she and her friends were drinking at the rapper’s table and got “tipsy.” She was then invited to an after-party and drove there with Nelly’s camp. Afterwards, she claims she was taken to Nelly’s tour bus.

She says she was then in his room with him when he tried to have sex with her, and she said no. After that, she says Nelly told her to “shut up,” and he wanted to have sex with her without using a condom, which he allegedly did without any objections.

The woman claims that the musician offered her money after the incident, but she declined the offer. A woman then reportedly came up to her and stated, “You gotta go.” The alleged victim claims she was then kicked off the tour bus, and another woman threw $100 at her.

In a statement to TMZ, Nelly’s lawyer, Scott Rosenblum, refuted the alleged victim’s claims. He stated, “It does not surprise me that she wanted to have her story publicized. That is playbook 101 of a person with an agenda and clearly she has one. The agenda is money, fame and notoriety.”

Rosenblum also stated he has hired an investigator for the case, and “We will be able to show by objective evidence and unbiased witnesses that she has zero credibility.” He added, “She’s a person who is making a dangerous, fraudulent allegation to accomplish her own goals.”
