Paul McCartney Says He Learned the Meaning of Life While Speaking to Bob Dylan

Paul McCartney has released a new documentary video in anticipation of the release for his upcoming compilation album, Pure McCartney. You can check out the video in the player below. During the video, McCartney says he learned the meaning of like when he talked to Bob Dylan. His new compilation album is due out on June 10. Below are also some highlights:

McCartney on speaking to Bob Dylan: “I could feel myself climbing a spiral walkway as I was talking to Dylan. I felt like I was figuring it all out, the meaning of life.”

McCartney on how he asked Mal Evans for a piece of paper so he could write it down:
“I was going ‘I’ve got it!’ and wrote down the key to it all on this piece of paper. I told Mal ‘You keep this piece of paper, make sure you don’t lose it, because the meaning of life is on there. Mal gave me the piece of paper the next day, and on it was written ‘There are seven levels.’ Well, there you go, the meaning of life…”
