Amidst numerous allegations of sexual misconduct, CBS News reports that R&B singer R. Kelly announced a new overseas tour yesterday (Feb. 5) on his Twitter account. However, R. Kelly soon deleted the announcement a short time later. You can check out a photo of the tweet at the above link.

The tweet was promoting an international tour in Australia, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka. There was some anger in response to the Twitter announcement. The R&B singer is currently facing a number of allegations that were recently re-ignited following the broadcast of the Lifetime docu-series Surviving R. Kelly.

TMZ spoke to Angelo Clary, who is the father of one of R. Kelly’s alleged victims Azriel Clary. She was one of the subjects of the docu-series. Angelo Clary is reportedly very angry over the singer announcing an overseas tour and promoters allowing him to perform.

Angelo Cleary added that there is no excuse for concert promoters to support R. Kelly following the Lifetime docu-series. Additionally, Azriel Clary reportedly still lives with the singer and has not had contact with her parents.

The singer’s announcement for his upcoming tour did not include any specific dates.
