R. Kelly Released From Jail After Paying Child Support Bills, Lawyer Claims Evidence Proves Singer Violated Mann Act

As previously reported, singer R. Kelly was facing potential jail time and legal troubles due to unpaid child support bills. TMZ has an update on the singer. According to the report, R. Kelly paid the $161,633 amount he had owed to his ex-wife, Drea Kelly, in child support bills.

Per the report, he made the payment earlier today (Mar. 9) from Cook County Jail. After leaving, he’s quoted as saying, “I promise we’re gonna straighten all this out. That’s all I can say right now. I love my fans.” Additionally, there were reportedly fans who were there screaming their support for him outside the jail house.

The singer is currently facing 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse in Chicago, Illinois. Also, there are reportedly multiple federal investigations that are ongoing against him, along with new sexual misconduct allegations that are reportedly based in Detroit.

Federal authorities are currently investigating whether he violated the Mann Act. The Mann act prohibits transporation of minors across state lines for the purpose of sex or debauchery. Also, Michael Avenatti tweeted out today that he has evidence proving R. Kelly and his handlers did this earlier today. You can check out that tweet below.
