Rage Against the Machine Bassist Apologizes For Limp Bizkit

September 29, 2015 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

Rage Against The Machine’s bass player has apologized for unleashing Limp Bizkit upon the world. Tim Commerford spoke with Rolling Stone and was asked Fred Durst crediting his band for staring the rapcore craze during a gig in 2014.

Commerford said, “I do apologize for Limp Bizkit. I really do. I feel really bad that we inspired such bullshit.”

He seemed to be unaware that Bizkit was back together, adding, “They’re gone, though. That’s the beautiful thing. There’s only one left, and that’s Rage, and as far as I’m concerned, we’re the only one that matters.”

Commerford famously climbed a lighting rig at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards after Rage Against the Machine lost out to Limp Bizkit for Best Rock Video.
