The Huffington Post reports that a new version of Aretha Franklin’s cover of “Silent Night” has been released. The song takes away the orchestrations and backing vocals for a stripped-down version that focuses on the late singer’s voice.

Producer Tena clark said: “Her beautiful spirit is radiant throughout the record and this new mix of ‘Silent Night’ showcases what an incomparable force she truly was, both on vocals and piano.

The song will be included on the upcoming vinyl release of Franklin’s holiday album This Is Christmas.
