A woman has accused Russell Simmons of sexually assaulting her when she was seventeen while Brett Ratner watched the whole thing. The Los Angeles Times published the claims by former fashion model Keri Claussen Khalighi, who says that in 1991 Simmons forced himself on her in Ratner’s presence.

Khalighi, who was seventeen at the time, said that she was invited back to Simmons’ apartment in New York to watch a music video the two were working on. Once they got there, Khalighi says that Simmons made aggressive sexual advances and then began pulling her clothes off.

“I looked over at Brett and said ‘help me’ and I’ll never forget the look on his face,” she said. “In that moment, the realization fell on me that they were in it together.”

Khalighi says that she refused intercourse, after which Simmons coerced her into giving him oral sex. She said, “I guess I just acquiesced” while Ratner “sat there and watched.”

She also says that while she took a shower afterward, Simmons walked up behind her and briefly penetrated her. He left after she jerked away, she said.

Variety reported earlier last week that Ratner and Simmons had been investigated in 2001 by the Beverly Hills Police Department for alleged sexual battery in a case not related to Khalighi’s. The unidentified accuser said that two men held her against her will and touched her unlawfully. Prosecutors declined to press charges due to insufficient evidence.

Ratner has also been accused by several women of sexual harassment and abuse. Ratner has filed a lawsuit against one of the women.

Simmons said in a statement regarding the new allegations, “I know Keri Claussen Khalighi and remember the weekend in 1991 that she has referenced. Everything that happened between us 26 years ago was completely consensual and with Keri’s full participation. I completely and unequivocally deny the horrendous allegations of non-consensual sex against me with every fiber of my being.”

Simmons’ lawyer has also released statements by three people who said that Khalighi never appeared to be in distress or held against her will on the weekend in question. Two are anonymous, while the third is from Simmons’ former assistant Anthony “Mac” McNair.
