January 3, 2019 | Posted by Joseph Lee

Barack Obama is officially a Billboard-charting artist. The Huffington Post reports that the 44th President of the United States appears on the remix of Hamilton‘s “One Last Time” with Christopher Jackson and BeBe Winans. The song has debuted at #22. Obama doesn’t actually sing on the track, but he does recite a passage from George Washington’s 1796 farewell address. It sold 9,000 downloads and had 307,000 online streams in its first week after it was released on December 20.

The chart was topped by Ella Mai’s “Trip”, while the Hamilton track comes in between Queen Naija’s “Butterflies” at #21 and John Legend and Esperanza Spalding’s cover of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” at #23.
