The Spice Girls are reuniting for a tour in the US and UK. TMZ reports that the iconic 1990s Girl Power pop group are set to get together for a world tour that will begin in the late summer. The five members of the group — Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Melanie C — met last week with their former manager for a rough planning session.

As of now, the plan is to tour the UK first before coming to the United States. At this time, there is no plan for either a residency in Las Vegas or new music. While Victoria Beckham was not keen on reuniting for a while, she has now changed her mind and is “fully on board.”

Their former manager Simon Fuller will manage the group during the tour. He is better known as the creator of American Idol. Merchandising opportunities are also being worked on for the tour, which is still in the early planning stages.

The Spice Girls were one of the top pop groups of the mid-1990s and have sold 85 million records worldwide, making them the best-selling female group of all time and one of the best-selling pop groups of all time. After two best-selling albums, Halliwell left the group in 1998. The remaining four released the group’s third album Forever in 2000 before going on hiatus. They reunited for a concert tour in 2007 and again to perform at the London Olympics in 2012.
