The site reports that Knight was apparently asked to come to the set in order to work out issues with longtime rival Dr. Dre and that this was when he ended up in the altercation that resulted in Carter’s death.

According to the sources, Knight had gone to a location where the commercial for Straight Outta Compton and got into a physical altercation with Dre’s security. Knight was told to leave by off-duty police officers. Knight allegedly was called by Carter shortly after and said that he had made contact with Dre, and was told to bring Knight by so they could work things out. Knight is claiming that he believed the meeting would be peaceful but was jumped once he arrived before he could get out of his truck.

This was when he ended up running over Carter’s head, killing him. According to reports, he backed up twice which is where the murder charge comes into play. Knight’s people say they can prove that Carter called Knight.

UPDATE: TMZ spoke with a member of the family of Terry Carter and she believes that Suge Knight murdered him. She was actually at the scene of Carter’s death not long after it happened and several witnesses said Knight was to blame.

According to her side of the story, Knight wasn’t welcome on the set of a commercial for Straight Outta Compton. That’s when he got into the fight with Cle “Bone” Sloan while he was in the driver’s seat of his truck. Suge then hit Sloan with his vehicle. Carter ran over to get him to safety. Knight knew he was there and wanted to kill Bone so he put it in reverse and ran over Carter’s head.

When asked if she would accept Knight’s claim that it was an accident, she replied: “Hell no. It was murder.

Original: As we previously reported, Suge Knight reportedly killed a man in a hit and run incident and fled the scene. TMZ now has an update on the story. The Sheriff’s Department sent a bulletin to all Southern California law enforcement to be on the lookout for Knight, as he was wanted for questioning for murder. They considered him armed and dangerous.

In a press conference, police said there were two fights with the second ending in a death. The first fight happened on the movie set and the second was at a hamburger restaurant. They claim the car backed up and ran over the victim twice before running away. They eventually found Knight’s truck by itself in a parking lot in the Westwood section of Los Angeles.
Knight, meanwhile, turned himself in for questioning. Witnesses claim that one of the three men who were hit by Knight’s truck was in the fight with him before he got ran over, which could show that it was intentional. They claim that he put his car in reverse once, then did it again, which could mean he intended to hit one of the people he was fighting with. Police have formally arrested Knight on murder charges and set his bail at $2 million.

Meanwhile, TMZ reports that police do not believe that Knight intended to run over and kill his friend, but do believe he was trying to run over someone else. His target appeared to be Cle “Bone” Sloan (actor from Training Day and End of Watch). The two had a fight before the hit and run.

The victim, meanwhile, is Terry Carter. He is a friend of Knight’s and actually arrived to the set with him in the truck. He was dealing with Sloan when he was hit. In the State of California (and other states) if someone is in the middle of committing a felony and kills someone doing it, no matter if its intentional or not, they can be charged with murder. If Knight was trying to hit Bone, then that would be a felony (assault with a deadly weapon).
