Tekashi69 Arrested by ATF Agents, Faces Racketeering & Gun Charges

Rapper Tekashi69 has been arrested by ATF agents alongside his ex-manager and other associates on racketeering and firearms charges. TMZ reports that agents from the ATF arrested the hip-hop star in New York City alongside his former manager Shottie and two members of the Nine Trey faction of the United Bloods gang. The foursome are reportedly facing six counts of charges including discharging a firearm while committing a crime and more.

According to the indictment, Tekashi (also known as 6ix9ine) and his crew allegedly conspired to commit a series of crimes that included drug deals, armed robberies and shootings. Among the claims in the indictment is that Tekashi personally committed armed robbery along with his manager and the gang members om April 3rd, when they robbed a rival gang at gunpoint. It also alleges that Fuguan Lovick, one of the arrested individuals, as the man who pulled the trigger at an April 21st shooting incident at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. The rapper and his associates were allegedly dealing heroin, fentanyl, MDMA and marijuana throughout New York City.

Tekashi and his associates are in federal custody on the charges and faces a possible life sentence, with a mandatory twenty-five years minimum in jail, on the discharging a firearm alone if convicted. Prosecutors claim that the crimes were done in order to protect the gang’s drug business, retaliate against rivals or bolster Nine Trey’s reputation on the street.
