An old surveillance video that shows Michael Jackson shopping for jewelry with one of the boys he is accused of having sexually abused has resurfaced. TMZ reports that the video popped back up following the allegations by James Safechuck in Leaving Neverland. It is from a Zales in Simi Valley, California in 1989, and features Jackson in a cheap costume and fake mustache.

The video actually made headlines in 1989 because security stopped Jackson, thinking he looked suspicious in the costume and suspecting he was going to rob the store. The boy in the video, who is confirmed to be Safechuck, was barely mentioned in any of the media reports at the time. Jackson reportedly bought toys and some sunglasses.

The site notes that the alleged purchase of an “engagement ring” that Safechuck says Jackson bought for him didn’t happen in this trip.
