TMZ reports that the woman accusing Nelly of rape is now accusing him of intimidating and bullying her in the media through his public statements. The victim’s attorney Karen Koehler claims that Nelly sent a letter to prosecutors with what she claims are “verbal attacks” after the news broke of his arrest.

Koehler wrote: “It is morally reprehensible for an accused person and his bully lawyer to issue derogatory and defamatory statements against a young alleged rape victim. It is also criminal — in the State of Washington — when those vicious attacks are issued in the form of threats.

She mentions that Nelly’s legal team said the alleged victim is “a person with an agenda and clearly she has one. The agenda is money, fame and notoriety.” Her letter included legal statutes for intimidating a witness, a class B felony in Washington.

Nelly’s attorney Scott Rosenblum replied: “I would suggest rereading the [intimidating a witness] statute. I would further suggest talking to some of the unbiased witnesses. Nelly will continue to respond to her client’s baseless allegations.
