2point0 Have & Daniel Garcia Have Joked Around About a Potential Trios Name

2point0 and Daniel Garcia have been working as a trio thus far in AEW and while they don’t have a team name, they’ve joked about a possibility. Jeff Parker and Matt Lee talked about it on their latest TheShowRULES and you can see some highlights below (per Fightful):

Lee on the potential name: “There was a joke going around that we would be called The Local Toughs. It was a big hit in the AEW locker room.”

Parker on how the idea came about in AEW: “Garcia was in the ring and he’s warming up and wearing these black pants and a white wife beater with a chain. I’m standing with Orange Cassidy and I’m like, ‘Doesn’t Garcia look like he’s a local tough guy trying to join the gang?’ It stuck, so maybe we’re The Local Toughs.”

Lee on the true origin of the name: “Years ago, we were at a CHIKARA event in Ontario. After the show, we’re all going to eat. We’re with El Generico, who was our partner at the time. There was a group of people standing outside. Before we go in, I go to them and I’m like, ‘Are you guys the local toughs?’ Generico looks at me like, ‘What are you doing? You’re antagonizing them.’ That was on the table for the name for our trio. It would be Local Tough,” he said.
