411’s WWE Talking Smack Report: 12/17/17

-It’s the return of Talking Smack as it is a post Clash of Champions show.

-Renee Young, looking wonderful as ever, welcomes us and she is joined by Sam Roberts as Daniel was a bit busy tonight. Roberts is excited to host what has been his favorite show on the WWE Network. They talk about AJ finally being the one to take out Jinder and The Singh Brothers. Renee talks about the Fatal 4 Way for the Tag Titles and cuts to footage of the close of the match. They both put over Gable huge even as his team lost.

-That brings out The Usos and this should be great as they are Talking Smack pros, and kill it every time. They are already singing and it gets Renee singing as well as she brings up needing Daniel back to reform Sweet Beets. The Usos joke by calling Sam “Sour Flower.” Tremendous! They stay winning because they stay twinning and that means they know exactly what the other is thinking from the minute to wake up. Roberts asks stupid questions and the Usos shoot him down for it. The Usos put over New Day and were extremely impressed with Gable. Damn right! Roberts brings up the fans singing with The Usos tonight and was shocked they sang with English during the Rusev Day song. That didn’t bother The Usos because they are R-E-A-L and even Sam knows that spells real.

-Renee brings up The Bludgeon Brothers murdering Breezango tonight and they say their strategy is to duck them and stay out of the way until the time comes. They joke about the war hammers and want to know who brings a hammer to the ring. They are ready for all challengers in 2018 and want tested as they are getting a bit bored on top. They are off to celebrate and that ends another fun edition of The Usos on Talking Smack.

-Renee and Sam shift to talking about the ordeal with Shane and Daniel both being the ref in the tag match. Sam thinks Daniel was fair and it was Shane that tried to screw KO and Sami with his refusing to make a three count.

-Renee throws to Dasha Fuentes who is in the locker room with KO and Sami. They are rather happy as you would expect and celebrate by popping champagne while plastic is covering the lockers (like you would see when a team wins the World Series). This is tremendous! KO puts over Bryan knowing how valuable they both are to the company and that starts a “yep” chant as Sami dances with Dasha. Again, this is just fantastic!

-Back to the desk and Renee says she is happy KO and Sami are sticking around as she enjoys what they bring to the table.

-WWE SmackDown’s Woman’s Champion, Charlotte, joins the desk and she shows off a nice mark she got during the match from Nattie. She is proud of it and then puts over that she wants to be the best. She actually gets emotional and starts crying as she talks about doing her job and giving it her all. She welcomes the pressure as Renee talks about the Riott Squad. Charlotte sent a message that she is a fighting champion and those women will have to work twice as hard when they get in the ring with her. She understands what it is like to come from NXT, but these women disrespected her. Renee wants to know what Charlotte has planned for 2018. She wants to improve and get better, but mainly she wants to be irreplaceable. She wants to be the female AJ Styles in that she is the standard bearer, and the one people pay money to see. Sam brings up her father and Charlotte says he is proud of her father. She deals with people saying she is where she is because of her dad everyday, but she works twice as hard as everyone in the locker room. She is fighting for the day when someone will look at Ric and say “that’s just Charlotte’s dad.”

-Renee turns to talking about the United States Title match and that is the match with the most shocking outcome for me. I kind of figured Dolph was there to eat the pin, but instead he gets the US Title. Perhaps they are moving Corbin up for a short feud with AJ to hold him over until Mania.

-Speaking of AJ he joins the desk and again, it is great to see that he is still the WWE Champion. He credits Jinder for facing him one on one for the most part and puts over how good of a fight it was. He talks about learning from previous matches and knowing he had to get the Singh Brothers out of there quickly and then he finishes things with the Calf Crusher. Jinder tapping is pretty much a sign that his run is done and it wasn’t just another clean pin. AJ talks about how the plan may have been for him to focus so much on the Sing Brothers, and he was able to overcome the mind games, and he is still The Champ. Renee asks what the title means to him, and AJ says being champion is what he spent his entire career working towards. To him this is the championship and he knows there is a Universal Champion on RAW and he has unfinished business with him. He still feels like he can beat that guy, and he isn’t being cocky because of how hard he works. Sam asks if AJ is done with Jinder, and AJ says this was Jinder’s rematch so he should go chase another championship. AJ says he will be ready for the next opponent, and that is why he is The Champion.

-Renee wraps things up on what was another fun edition of Talking Smack.
