The show opens with a video package showing some of HIdeo Itami’s struggles in 2017 and how it led to a rivalry with Kassius Ohno.

Andrade “Cien” Almas vs. Cezar Bononi

Zelina Vega came out with Almas, but joined commentary instead of standing at ringside. Bononi beat Almas a few months back. They lock up with Almas not giving a clean break and chopping Cezar. He follows with a back elbow and sliding kick. Vega explains some of their history, saying she met Almas years ago and he brought her on to rectify his career. Bononi ducks a forearm and hits a clothesline. He fires off his own chop and an atomic drop. A dropkick follows and Cezar taunts. Almas slips free of a slam, but gets pulled into a small package for two. Cezar dodges a kick but eats a vicious back elbow. Almas catches a kick in the corner and hits a backbreaker, chest club combo. Vega shouts for Almas to finish him, and he does with the hammerlock DDT.

Last week’s attack on Drew McIntyre by Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish was shown. William Regal has comments on their actions. He says there will be no more jumping from behind. They can be a part of NXT, but they’ll have to do things in the ring.

The Velveteen Dream interrupts an interviewer trying to get a word in Asuka’s locker room. He says he was compelled by TakeOver and promises to speak soon.

Lars Sullivan vs. Three Old Partners

Lars is facing his previous partners who he jumped after they lost the match for him. He demands all three men start against him, with no tags. Lars proceeds to toss them around.

Oddly, as he dominates, the show cuts away to footage from last week when SAnitY and security members were left laid out in the parking lot. SAnitY responds, with Eric Young saying they know Kyle and Bobby are different, but they made a mistake at TakeOver. They don’t care where they’ve been, they just care about chaos.

Sonya Deville vs. Zeda

Sonya takes Zeda down and rag dolls her. Zeda slips out with a rollup for one. She misses a kick and leaps over Sonya. She rolls away from her and Sonya grabs her. They jockey for position and Sonya knocks her outside hard. Back in, Zeda fights back with kicks but eats one herself. Sonya delivers a sliding knee and wins via armbar.

Winner: Sonya Deville in 1:41

Clips of Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch working together at the PC is shown. William Regal is giddy over it. Ruby Riot comes up to him and asks for a handicap match with the Iconic Duo to shut them up for good. Regal won’t give it to her, but thinks it’s more fair if she finds a partner and there’s a tag match.

No Disqualifications Match: Hideo Itami vs. Kassius Ohno

Itami was ready to fight, but bails once the bell rings. He gets in and is caught by Ohno, who slams him down. Big leg drop follows. Chops and strikes by Ohno follows. He flips over the ropes but is hit by Itami. Itami smashes his head onto the ring post and Ohno falls onto the steps. Outside, he slams Ohno’s head on the steps a few times. Inside, Hideo lights up Ohno with a series of kicks and the hesitation dropkick gets two. Itami goes outside and gets a chair. Ohno attempts the rolling elbow but Itami stops it with the chair. After a break, Itami continues the assault, with Ohno firign up. Enziguri by Ohno gets him an opening. BIG BOY SENTON follows. Itami comes back and hits an armbreaker. Ohno blocks the GTS and does a TKO into the big rolling elbow. Itami falls outside and backs up the ramp. Ohno stalks him and stomps on him. Up the ramp they go, with Ohno in control. Itami hits a fisherman suplex on the apron as they make their way back to the ring. Itami rests the chair on Ohno’s head and delivers the hesitation dropkick for two. Ohno fights back and catches a kick but Itami pokes him in the eye. GTS is blocked and Ohno delivers a big low blow. The roaring elbow finishes this.

Next week, the Iconic Duo faces Ruby Riot and a partner of her choosing. Pete Dunne also defends the UK Title against Wolfgang.

William Regal’s in the ring and introduces NXT Women’s Champion Asuka. She says she’s been in NXT for nearly two years, which gets a “Thank you Asuka” chant. She loves NXT and is grateful for it. Regal puts her over as one of the greatest champions in WWE history. He says other people have taken notice, so Regal and Asuka have begun negotiations with the General Managers of Raw and Smackdown. It’s bittersweet because Asuka is stepping down as champion. She says “no one is ready for Asuka”, which gets a pop. The roster comes to the stage to give her a standing ovation. Ember Moon steps out in front of the crowd and walks down to the ring. She offers a handshake, but pulls it back like Asuka used to. They laugh and hug. The fans come to their feet as Triple H also comes out. He brings flowers for Asuka and hugs her.
