411’s WWE RAW Report 4.16.18

Last week, we saw the WWE take advantage of the idea that we love RAW and gave us a bastardized version of our beloved show. I was upset. Check out the podcast to see why.

Speaking of podcast, at least SOME of you were gracious enough to watch my bar podcast, SpeakEZ, after I put it in the report, and I graciously appreciate it. Because of this, I want to ask if you all wouldn’t mind if I put it in the live report every week now? Since this is your report just as much as mine, I ask you to take a look at this week’s episode and let me know in the comments if it’s harmless enough to post in the report on a weekly basis.

Anyways…here’s Peyton.

Kurt Angle starts the show, and the crowd is pretty vocal already. Good stuff. Angle welcomes us to RAW and the Superstar Shakeup. Angle says we will see new faces and big surprises, he promises. Without furth—-

Whoa, whoa, whoa, says one of the Singh Brothers, and he is here to welcome the newest member of the Monday Night RAW roster, the current US Champion…..Jinder Mahal.

Jinder Mahal has Moved to RAW

Jinder congratulates Angle in acquiring the services of him. He also secured RAW’s position as the A-Show, but why was Jinder brough to the arena in an SUV?

Angle says they never agreed on a limo. Jinder claims he proved he was better than any superstar on Smackdown, and he is already better than anyone on RAW. Jinder wants the same treatment as Brock Lesnar. In fact, he demands it.

Kurt tells them to e mail them his demands via e mail. Angle pretends to give an e mail to them then says no freakin way, and if Jinder thinks he’s better than everyone else, then prove it. Angle then asks the RAW roster who wants to prove Jinder wrong. He’s defending the US Title right now.

Match 1: United States Championship Match
Jinder Mahal vs Jeff Hardy
Jinder with a right hand. He stomps Jeff in the corner. Jeff blocks a right. Jeff sends Jinder into the corner. A splash in the opposite corner. Jeff with a right to the back of the head. Axe handle. Jeff with a snapmare into a dropkick to the back of the head. Jinder is up and hits an elbow. Jinder with a right. Whip to the ropes. Jinder rushes and runs into a kick. Dropkick sends Jinder to the outside. Jeff grabs the ropes and swings a double kick to Jinder on the outside. Jeff on the apron. He dives with a clothesline to Jinder down below!

We are back from a break, and Jinder has a chinlock on Jeff. Jeff uses the motivation from the crowd to turn into the hold and hit a jawbreaker. Jeff hits the ropes, and Jinder catches him and drops him onto the top rope. Jinder drops a knee. Another knee. A third. He holds the knee down onto Jeff’s face. Jinder gloats a bit to the crowd, as Jeff stands on the apron. Jinder with a hard right to the face of Jeff. Jinder tries to grab Jeff, but Jeff chokes up Jinder. Jeff goes to the top rope, looks for Whisper in the Wind, but Jinder shoves Jeff, and Jeff is crotched. Jinder hops up to grab Jeff. Jeff with an elbow. Jinder goes down. WHISPER IN THE WIND!!! Singh is on the apron. Jeff dropkicks him off. Whip to Jinder. Jeff bounces off with a right hand. Inverted Atomic Drop. Leg drop to the crotch! Dropkick to the face. Cover for 1..2…NO!!! Jeff with a kick. Goes for Twist of Fate, but Jinder shoves JEff. Jeff with a kick. Jinder with a high knee! Cover for 1..2…NO!!! Jeff grabs the bottom rope! Jinder stands. He calls for the finish. He’s behind Jeff. He lifts by the belt. Locks up. Jeff with a right hand! He hooks the hips and rolls through! 1…2…..NO!!! Jinder with a huge kick to the face! Cover for 1..2…NO!!! Jinder lifts JEff with a press, then drops him on his knees, but Jeff pushes him down with a pin for 1..2..NO!!!

Jeff with a Twist of Fate out of nowhere!!!! Swanton Bomb! Pin for 1..2….3!!!

Jinder is stopped by the music of No Way Jose. That’s actually not what happens. Jinder continues his promo, regardless of the music. Jose stops by with his line. He tells Jinder to put a smile on that face. When life tries to get him down, he says NO WAY. He asks Renee if she wants to dance.

Cole: “Maybe No Way Jose only hears the music in his head.”

Looks like Bayley and Sasha is next.

Bayley comes out with a gold toilet seat cover on her neck.

Match 2: Sasha Banks vs Bayley
Sasha starts with a kick then sends Bayley into the corner. Bayley hops on the 2nd rope, then slips and Sasha saves her. Sasha hops up to the top rope for an arm drag, but Bayley pulls her off and down. Bayley sends Sasha to the outside. Bayley with a dropkick through the ropes, but grabs Sasha with her legs instead, and hits a hurricanrana on the outside.

We are back, and Sasha has a straight jacket hold from behind on Bayley. Bayley stands up and backs Sasha into the corner. She then tosses Sasha forward and sends Sasha into the ropes, Saha shoots forward. Back body drop. Bayley sends Sasha onto the apron and hits a stunner on her. Sasha tumbles into the corner and stands. Shoulder from Bayley. Splash and she hops onto the top rope. Neckbreaker off the top and a cover for 1..2…NO!! Sasha with a boot to the face. She sends Bayley to the outside! Bayley on the apron. Sasha with a high knee. She then hops over the top rope and swings some knees into Bayley! She sends Bayley back in. Meteora as Cole calls it? Ok then. Double knees and a cover from Sasha. 1..2……NO!!! Sasha grabs Bayley’s face to yell that she’s better than her. Sasha with a huge slap. Bayley hits one too. They go back and forth. It’s a breakdown!!! They fight like two girls at the club. Bayley tries to kick. Sasha hits a knee, then double knees in the corner to the face. Cover for 1..2..NO!!!

Sasha rolls through into the Bank Statement!!! Bayley is close to the ropes. She’s almost there! But THE RIOT SQUAD IS HERE TO ATTACK SASHA!!!!

That match got really good at the end there.

After a commercial, Heath and Rhyno are in the ring awaiting The Authors of Pain.

We get a promo with the words on the screen like this is an episode of Sesame Street.

Match 3: AOP vs Heath and Rhyno
Slater and Rhyno attack immediately. They send one out the ring and attack the other. The bell officially rings and Akam and Heath start. Heath backs him up in the corner. Tag to Rhyno. Rhyno in with rights nad hits a shoulder in the corner. Tag to Heath. He flies off with a right hand to the face. Heath runs and gets flapjacked onto the top rope. Razar in and gets trucked by Heath. Razar with a right hand to Heath’s face on the mat. Again. Another. Tag from Akam. Double team move to Heath as the drop him on their knees abs first. Cover for 1..2…NO!!!! Akam grabs Heath by the head and slams him back down on the map. Tag to Razar, who comes in wih a stomp. Lift to Heath. Heath floats off. Ducks from a clothesline. Tag to Rhyno. Right hands and some whips. Reveresed. Razar with an elbow. CLothesline. He knocks Akam off the apron. Belly to Belly to Razar. Akam stops the pin. He tosses Heath to the outside. Hard clothesline from Razar.

Tag to Akam. They double team. The Last Chapter is hit. Pin for 1..2….3!!!!

After a break, The Miz is here with his cohorts. They want to introduce two new members of the RAW roster. Miz introduces us to….

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have been moved to RAW

They are super pumped, and head into the ring with smiles. Miz says that standing before us is the finest collection of talent ever assembled in one place. This is bigger and better thna the NWO. Between them, there is more talent than the 92 Olympic Dream Team. Infinity War is coming out next Friday, but we’ve got The Avengers right here, right now. There is no Shane here to hold them back, and a wannabe movie star like Paige. Together, they are changing the landscape.They now call the shots and have the control, and they are putting the entire locker room on notice.

Kurt Angle is here to stop Miz and his antics. He says he is in control, and both Sami and Owens lost last week.

Owens says there was an e mail sent a few minutes ago, and plans have changed. Sami will explain. He wants to read the e mail, as he has printed it out. Sami even has some reading glasses.

The e mail calls his decisions as “emotionally motivated,” and this must be re-examined. Last week, they proved they belonged on RAW, and to let them walk away would be a mistake of epic proportions. Angle is overruled and is officially offering a RAW contract to Sami and Kevin, signed Stephanie McMahon.

Owens jokes and says that they are officially back on RAW, and there’s nothing Angle can do about it.

Miz and Sami stand by like idiots with grins. Miz wonders whats’ wrong, is everything ok? Is this whole career flashing before your eyes. Angle welcomes them to RAW, and says but SAY GOODBYE TO THE MIZ!!

Angle says he just got a call, and Daniel Bryan is very adamant on getting MIz to Smackdown, and he has some pull over there.

Miz is pissed. He says Angle has just made the worst mistake ever. Miz says he and The Miztourage will do exactly what they did on RAW over on Smackdown. They will make it must see. Angle then says The Miztourage is staying, but The Miz is going.

Angle has a going away present for him. A nice little ten-man tag main event. The five of them against Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, Bobbly Lashley, Braun Strowman, and a RAW Debut.

Screen flickers to Wyatt in front of a black screen. We pan out and Matt is standing next to him in front of a white screen. They say each others’ sayings and blow out the lantern together.

We return to RAW with The Revival already in the ring followed by Matt and Wyatt making their entrance, and just like the WWE usually does, they splice the entrances together.

Mat runs around the ring with the lantern.

Match 4: Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt vs The Revival
Dawson and Hardy to start. Go behind from Matt, backing into a tag from Dash. Dash grabs the head and sends Matt into the corner. Matt stops it with a boot and does the Delete headbutts. Matt rushes the corner and eats an elbow. Shoved away and a hip toss by Matt hardy. Matt works the arm, tags in Wyatt, and Bray hits a huge kick to the face. Wyatt goes for Sister Abigail immediately but is stopped by Dawson. Dash hits the ropes and Wyatt just DROPS to the mat. He does the spiderwalk and Cole sells it like the WEIRDEST THANG EVARRRRR. Idiot. Tag to Matt and a double team Senton/Leg Drop. Matt attacks the entering Dawson and Bray suplexes him onto Dash. Dash and Dawson roll out of the ring, leaving Matt and Bray to celebrate with a WONDERFUL!!

Matt grabs the hand of Dash and pulls him into the ring. Dash bulies matt into the corner .Matt hits a right to dawson. Matt goes for a Twist of Fate, but they double clotheslnie Matt. Dawson in off the tag and he hits some elevated right hands from above. Dawson pushes forward then hits a hard short clothesline. Cover by Dawson for 1..2.NO! Cravat from behind to Matt. right elbow to Matt. Dawson turns to eyeball Wyatt. Wyatt gets into the ring. Ref is distracted. Double team to Matt. Cover for 1…2….NO! Tag to Dash. Doubl headbutt to Matt. Side Effect. Tag to Bray. He comes in with a huge clothesline to Dash. Strikes from Wyatt into the corner. Right hand. ANother to Dawson. Wyatt with a huge splash in the corner. Uranage! Wyatt with a Sister Abigail! Tag to Matt.

Matt comes in. Sets up for Twist of Fate. Wyatt holds the legs and slams Dash down along with Matt’s Twist of Fate! Pin for 1..2…3!!!

Backstage, Sheamus and Cesaro say they’ve never seen a weirder tag team ever. In come Fashion Police who say they’ve been transferred to another precinct. They then give tickets to Sheamus and Cesaro, calling their kilts dresses.

Backstage, Ronda is talking to Angle. She brings up Mania, saying it was all worth it. Angle says that’s just the beginning. She surprised a lot of people, but Stephanie will not go quietly – who knows what she has planned for the shakeup. Speaking of which…he has a surprise.

In comes Natty, and Ronda is very happy. Angle didn’t know they knew each other – it was supposed to be a surprise. Natty asked for a match tonight. She says this is a fresh start for her. She’s here to prove she’s the best. She pounds fists with Ronda, and that wasn’t weird at all.

Nia Jax is here for commentary, along with Alexa Bliss. Why? Why would either want to be in that close of a proximity together?

Match 5: Mickie James vs Ember Moon
Lockup to start. Mickie with a side headlock, but Ember escapes and works the left arm. Mickie flips out of it. Ember works her down and twists the arm again. She flips at the hand until Mickie gets a leg scissors. Ember kips up out of it. Mickie with a hard right hand, knocking down Ember. Ember hits the ropes, flips out of a hip toss, and hits a dropkick. Ember rsuhes the corner, gets to the top, and Mickie pulls her down and off. Cover for 1..2…NO! Mickie with a chokehold from behind.

Alexa is backstage and says no one told her Nia is going to be out there too. She has no interest in sitting with that bully. Nia knows how much it hurt her to lose the title. She would love to rub it in her face. Alexa refuses to give that bully the satisfaction.

Back to the match, and Ember tosses MIckie down, but Mickie will not let go of the hold. Ember stands and gets a knee. She turns into an elbow. Cover for 1..2..NO! Ember kicks out. Mickie with a knee from behind. Antoher. Chinlock from behind. She stands and turns into the hold then tosses her overhead. Mickie with a neckbreaker. Cover for 1.NO! Another cover, and another 1-count. Mickie from above, but Ember grabs her ewith the legs and tosses Mickie away. Both up now. Kick to Mickie. Again. Right hand to Mickie. Ember grabs the head. Double underhook. Mickie escapes, goes for a kick. Underhook. Suplex! Kip Up. Ember with a flip into the corner, ending with a clothesline.

Ember heads to the top rope. Mickie is up. The Eclipse from Ember! Cover for 1..2….3!!

Backstage, Sami is talking to Owens and Sami tells Owens they need to take out Braun early. What about the mystery partner? Owens says this is crap, and if he wanted to be treated like this…he should have stayed on Smackdown.

In comes Miz who asks how Shane is nowadays, what do they think Shane will think of Miz? How will he treat him? Sami and Owens tell Miz to focus on tonight, and focus on Bo and Axel. Miz says for them to forget about mystery partners and monsters. This is his RAW Finale, and they all need to make it…MUST SEE.

We get a mini Make a Wish moment then a record scratch, and Dolph Ziggler is here. Probably not the best time for the record scratch, ya know?

Dolph Ziggler has moved to RAW

He gets some mic time, saying he’s back and it’s so sad. He says a lot of things have changed. He still steals the show everywhere he goes, and he’s the best superstar to walk that aisle (Didn’t Jinder just do this?) One thing has changed, says Dolph, and a whistle cuts him off. Titus Worldwide is here.

Titus welcomes Dolph back to RAW. As we know, a lot of things have changed. Things lioke him creating Titus Worldwide, and he is wondering if Dolph wants to join the team. He hands a card out, and says they can take Dolph to the next level – inside and outside the ring. Dolph is a multi-platform superstar, and if he joins them, well, they can go out and conquer the world..

Dolph thanks him for the offer, and says what he was going to say was that one thing has changed – he didn’t come back to RAW alone…

IT’S DREW MCINTYRE!!!!

He attacks from behind!! Dolph points down to Titus. Drew grabs him and sends Titus into the corner. HOLY SHIT chant. Drew holds the head, and Dolph hits a Superkick! Dolph ligts Apollo. Drew mounts him. Drew with a bunch of rights. Dolph yells at Apollo. He acts agressively annoying. McIntyre gets a loud chant. Drew lifts APollo. Hits the ropes. Claymore/Zig Zag combo to Apollo.

Roman Reigns is here. Yay….

Anyways, he stands for a while, listening to the ROMAN SUCKS chant die down.

He waits even longer for no reason, and Cole tries to cover it up.

Once again, he is here and Brock isn’t, says Roman. Once again, he’s going to face Brock – but it’s not going down like it did at Mania, because this time it will be in a steel cage, and he’ll leave Brock trapped in that cage.

Crowd is booing heavy.

He calls himself a Full Time Universal Champion.

Since tonight is the shakeup, he’ll go ahead and get this out of the wa—

Samoa Joe cuts him off!

Joe tells Roman that he is so quick to brag about how he shows up to work, but what he doesn’t brag about is getting the job done. Sick burn.

Fact is, Roman hasn’t gotten it done and never will. You bring up the cage but he fails to understand who he is getting in the ring with. One man that has beaten Roman EVERY TIME. Joe would feel sorry, but he can’t, because Roman is too stupid to realize his place, and Roman will not learn until someone puts him down for good. So Joe comes bearing that sweet mercy, because when Brock is done massacring him in the cage, Joe will be waiting at Backlash to put the big dog to sleep. By the way, since Reigns has a lot of bass in his voice, let’s remind Reigns what Brock has done and what Joe will do.

Joe tosses his towel, and turns around. He heads to the bottom and tells REigns he’ll see him at Backlash on his time.

Mandy Rose is out with Sonya Deville to Paige’s music for some reason.

Match 6: Natalya vs Mandy Rose
Nattie with a rollup. Mandy with a slap. Nattie mounts. She hits a bunch of forearms and elbows. Mandy finally escapes and rolls out of the ring. Nattie follows and sends Mandy back into the ring. Mandy rolls right back out. Nattie follows. Mandy hits a knee. She sends Nattie back in and covers for 1..2..NO! Mandy with stomps in the corner. She gets some more in for another 4 count. Mandy grabs the head of Nattie. Suplex. Pin for 1..2..NO! Mandy with a right to the back. Mandy with an abdominal stretch. She ends up getting slammed.

Nattie talks some shit, goes for the spinning punch, but Nattie escapes, only for Nattie to grab the knee in the air and lock in the Sharpshooter.

Sonya attacks immediately after the bell. She hits knees after knees. Mandy attacks as well, with the beatdown. In comes Ronda Rousey. She walks briskly down the ramp and enters the ring to check on her friend. Mandy and Sonya talk outside. Sonya ain’t afraid. She enters the ring.

Sonya ain’t ever scared. She goes for a right. Deville blocks with her hands up. Ronda with a few quick jabs, and we get a mini-MMA battle! Ronda with a surprise takedown knocking Sonya on her ass!

Baron Corbin has moved to RAW!

The Fashion Police are here, and Cole makes sure to call them “Goofy” to explain to Coach who they are…

Cole mentions that dastardly man “Abeyance,” who has made a surprise return.

Match 7: The Bar vs The Fashion Police
Cesaro to start with Fandango. He starts by grabbing Cesaro’s jacket and trying it on. Cesaro kicks and gets a side headlock. Shoulder tackle from Cesaro. Cesaro hops over with a sunset flip. Fandango removes the jacket of Cesaro and struggles, then turns the struggle into a dance. A drop from Fandango and a pin for 1… NO! Tag to Breeze, who comes in, hits the ropes, gets lifted, and Cesaro hits an uppercut! Tag to Sheamus. Sheamus with ahit to the gut. Right hands to Breeze, beatin him down in the corner. Fandango goes in to stop the attack. Sheamus turns, Fanny heads back outside. Tyler with some rights. Sheamus lifts him and sends Tyler into the corner. Tag to Cesaro. He’s in, they double team then pin for 1..2..NO! Cravat rom behind by Cesaro. Tag to Sheamus. Sheamus in with a kick. Whip and a clothesline to Breeze. Knee from behind, and a cravat from behind. Breeze turns into the hold and hits a jawbreaker, but Sheamus clotheslines his ass. Sheamus knocks Fanny off the apron. Tag to Cesaro. Cesaro with a flying elbow drop to the chest of Tyler while Sheamus holds him. Pin or 1..2..NO!!!! Cesaro goes for a tag, but Fandango pulls the leg of Sheamus!

Breeze with a surprise roll-up for 1…2…3!!!!

Elias is backstage with Renee to talk shit about the city they’re in. Elias also says Bobby Lashley doesn’t deserve to be in the same arena or ring, and should worship Elias. If Lashley ever interrupts him again, he’s going to learn what everyone here already knows….that WWE stands for….

We Want Eggrolls!!

Elias says that he knows Renee took this intervuew because she’s attracted to him. Elias tells her to silence her cell phone, hold her applause, and shut her mouth.

Renee cuts him off and says they don’t have time for an interview and sends it back to Cole. lol. Damn.

Match 8: Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, The Miztourage, and The Miz vs Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley and Robert Roode
Rollins wants to talk game but Braun is hungry and just wants to have a taste of Sami. Owens is in the ring. Seth is, too. Kick from Owens and he beats down Seth Rollins. Kick from Seth. Whip to the corner. Seth hits it hard, but grabs Kevin and sends him face-first into the turnbuckle. Seth flies off the top with a clothesline. Sami sends Owens to the outside. Seth grabs the ropes and launches himself over the top rope. Heels run over to him, while the faces go into the ring.

Back from a break, and Finn is dropping an axe handle on the arm of Curtis Axel. Axel with right hands and a whip. Sunset flip, but Finn with a kick to the face. Cover for 1…2.NO! Finn looks for a tag, but Axel stops him and tags in Owens. Owens tags in Bo and he stomps Finn in the corner. Bo tags in The Miz. Miz with a kick in the corner. Another. Miz with a kick then a cover for 1..2…NO! Finn with an elbow to Miz. Miz with a neckbreaker. Cover for 1. Miz drags Finn into the corner and tags in Finn. Sami with a right hand. Tag to Lashley. He comes in with a right. Belly to belly. Hard clotheslnie in the corner. Off the ropes witha spear. He lifts Sami, Owens on the apron, Lashley sends him off. Sends another off. Right from Sami, but Lashley hops over the nhits a clothesline. Lashley lifts Sami. He goes for the stalled Vertical.

Back from another break, and Owens has Seth in a bad place. He’s got a side headlock on Seth down on the mat. Owens with a senton and a cover for .1.2…NO! Owens drags Seth to the corner and tags in The Miz. Miz stomps and scowls. He sends Seth into the cornerand stomps some more. He fights out of the corner, turns into a kick, and gets a DDT for his troubles. Cover for 1…2NO! Seth is on his knees. Miz calls for the kicks. He hits one. Another. Another. Again. Over and over. Miz goes for a final reollup but Seth ducks and rolls him up for 1..2…NO! Seth lifts and drops Miz down hard. Axel and Bo leave the apron and come to pull down Finn and Lashley, and sends them into the barricade. Seth wants a tag, Braun and Roode hop down to chase, then hop back on to get a tag. On the outside, Braun sends Zayn and Owens int othe barricade. tag to Roode. He sends Axel down, then Bo. Clothesline in the corner. Whip and another clothesline. Necbreaker in the middle of the ring. Roode goes up top. Clothesline from the top rope. Roode goes for the Glorious DDT, but Axel sends Roode into the corner. Kick from Roode. Blockbuster off the 2nd rope. Cover for 1..2..NO! Bo stop it. Roode sends Bo over the top rope. Axel chops the leg. Tag from The Miz. Miz goes for the Figure Four, but Roode rolls him up for 1..2…NO!! Clothesline from Roode!!! Braun is on the apron! Roode turns to see his partner. Miz grabs the leg. TAG TO BRAUN!! Miz runs…..RIGHT INTO A DROPKICK FROM BRAUN!!!! Miz goes for a tag. Axel drops off the apron. He goes to tag Bo. Bo drops off the apron. Braun is up. Miz is pissed. Bo and Axel walk out of the match.

Miz turns….Braun crushes him in the corner. Powerslam to Miz! Cover for 1…2…..3!!!
