AEW News: Adam Cole’s Return Reportedly Kept Quiet Backstage, Note on MJF’s Promo

– Adam Cole made his return to AEW TV on last night’s Dynamite, which was reportedly a surprise to many backstage. As reported, Cole came out for a promo in which he said he was back and put the locker room on notice. Excalibur had noted on commentary that Cole was listed as “TBD” on run sheets, and Fightful Select reports that was legitimate.

The report notes that several people backstage were surprised when Cole walked through the area to head to the ring for his promo.

– The site also notes that MJF’s shot at Konosuke Takeshita was cleared in advance. MJF mocked Takeshita’s name in the promo and when Takeshita responded in Japanese, MJF called him a bad public speaker and said “Round here, we speak American.”
