AEW All Out

As previously reported, AEW All Out tickets went on sale this week and sold out in about 15 minutes. Per the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, there’s an update on more tickets that could’ve potentially been sold for AEW All Out in August. According to Dave Meltzer, his estimate that the number of tickets AEW could’ve potentially sold for this event was 137,600 tickets.

Also, Meltzer noted that he’s never heard of a “pro wrestling show with this many people looking for tickets in history.” Additionally, Meltzer compared the amount of potential tickets that could’ve been sold to the first time Anderson Silva fought in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which took place at UFC 134 in August 2011. He noted for that event, the UFC could’ve sold 150,000 tickets for that event, which was held in a 16,000-seat building.

Meltzer added that no one expected this much demand for All Out, stating that he spoke to some people who expected the demand for the event to be in the range 40,000-50,000 tickets, but not this much. It was also expressed by Meltzer that AEW should’ve booked All Out in a stadium.

AEW All Out is scheduled for August 31. The event will be held at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
