– Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston has the ratings for last Saturday’s edition of AEW Dynamite. Last week’s show was preempted once again due to MLB Playoff coverage, so Dynamite did not air on its usual Wednesday night timeslot.

Saturday’s show drew an average audience of 575,000 viewers. That’s down from 727,000 viewers from the previous Saturday edition of Dynamite. Also, it should be noted that AEW had stiff competition on Saturday night on both cable and network TV. Game 6 of the NLCS between the Dodgers and the Braves aired live on TBS. Meanwhile, college football games were airing on ESPN. The sports coverage on those networks largely dominated cable ratings and viewership for Saturday night.

Additionally, Dynamite was also running head-to-head against a replay of WWE SmackDown, which aired on the FOX Network. The SmackDown replay on FOX actually outdrew the new episode of Dynamite in total viewership, finishing with a final average audience of 632,000 viewers.

In the P18-49 key ratings demo, Dynamite drew a 0.22 rating (288,000 viewers) and finished slightly ahead of the SmackDown rerun. For comparison, the SmackDown replay on FOX drew a 0.16 rating (212,000 viewers) in the key demo. Ratings in the key demo were down from last week’s episode, which drew a 0.28 number.

Game 6 of the MLB NLCS between the Dodgers and the Braves topped the ratings and viewership for cable original programming for Saturday night with a 1.75 rating and 6.949 million viewers.

Per Showbuzz Daily, Dynamite still managed to rank in the Top 10 cable shows for the evening at No. 10. The show fell down slightly from its No. 9 ranking for last week.

AEW Dynamite will return to its usual Wednesday night timeslot on October 27. Tomorrow’s show will be broadcast live on TNT.
