AEW Revolution

– This week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter has an update on the rumored pay-per-view numbers for February’s AEW Revolution event. Based on what’s known by AEW, the show reportedly drew in the range of 100,000 to 105,000 buys overall. Also, all the cable numbers are said to be not be in for the event yet.

In terms of cable buys and revenue, Revolution is said to be the second-biggest drawing pay-per-view for AEW behind Double or Nothing 2019. Additionally, Revolution reportedly surpassed Double or Nothing on FITE TV and drew the best on that platform to date. FITE TV was the only way for UK viewers to watch the show, since it was not available on TV cable in the region. However, the newsletter report notes the gains Revolution made through FITE TV did not offset the loss of AEW PPVs on ITV Box Office, which was expected to have been in the range of about 15,000 additional buys.

Observer Newsletter also notes that B/R Live streaming for the event set a new record, so as a result, Revolution is believed to be the highest in the US or a close second to Double or Nothing for overall numbers. Per the report, the numbers are said to be a “good sign” for AEW.

Revolution was held on Saturday, Feb. 29 at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois. You can check out 411’s live results and coverage from the event RIGHT HERE.
