AEW Said To Be Very Close To A Canadian TV Deal

As we previously reported, AEW announced their new AEW Plus subscription service for international markets which would allow fans to watch AEW Dynamite through FITE TV for a low price of $4.99 per month. Until now, a TV deal in Canada had yet to be announced, but The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that AEW is said to be very close to finalizing one. The word is that the FITE stream won’t be available in the country, which means it is likely that the hope and the talks for the deal is that the show will air live in Canada. It’s said that the main parts of the deal are done, and it’s up to Turner to put the finishing touches on it.
TSN is said to be the most likely candidate for the deal. AEW President Tony Khan is reportedly working on the deals himself.
