African wrestling star Power Uti has been arrested after the passing of his wife. Uti, who is best known for Mick Foley’s less-than-sterling recollection of him in Foley’s autobiography, was arrested after his wife of ten years passed away according to Premium Times.

The outlet says that Uti came home on Monday to discover his wife Toyin, passed away. Instead of taking her to a hospital or seeking medical help of some other kind, Uti went to a church to seek spiritual assistance. Toyin was thirty-eight and the mother of four children, all under the age of nine.

Famous Cole, a police spokesperson for Lagos State, told Premium Times, “A case was reported; Mr. Uti lost his wife and there was need to carry out some form of investigation…when she died and all of that. Now, in the course of the investigation, the Police discovered that the day she died was not the day the incident was reported to the police. So in order to make sure that everything is as said by Mr. Uti, we are now doing further investigation and the case has been transferred to Panti for further investigation.”

Cole said Uti’s arrest is common in such situations, noting, “It is normal police routine and investigation. If there is need to do autopsy and know if it was natural or not natural death, Mr. Uti has to be present.”
