AJ Styles’ WWE Theme Originally Meant For James Storm
In the latest edition of Table for 3 (via Wrestling Inc), it was revealed that AJ Styles’ theme song was originally meant for James Storm. The episode featured Brian “Road Dogg” James, Jeff Jarrett, and Elias.
It started with James and Jarrett talking about the Hall of Fame and how they helped each other through tough times. It then switched to Elias and how he learned to play guitar. Road Dogg praised him and Elias credited Dusty Rhodes with creating his NXT character. Jarrett mentioned the music Elias played on Bourbon Street during Wrestlemania weekend and how theme songs were important for the success of WWE stars.
He added that AJ Styles had some “pretty cool music in TNA” with different versions of it during his career. When he got to WWE, his theme had a “wow” factor that immediately made people notice him.
Road Dogg added: “That was originally written and developed for James Storm. And James passed [on the theme song] and he went a different direction, and AJ stepped in and it just worked out perfectly.“
