Ariya Daivari Says He Received Death Threats After Greatest Royal Rumble
– Ariya Daivari posted to Twitter revealing that he received death threats after his appearance at Greatest Royal Rumble. Daivari appeared at the event alongside Shawn Daivari and confronted four WWE signees from the Saudi Arabia tryouts, before they got taken out.
Daivari initially posted an apology to those offended and then, when someone asked, noted that he received threats against his life and he “wanted to put this statement out to clarify where I as a person stand compared to my t.v. character”:

Personally, I believe you should not have to apologize. No actor, in a movie, would have to apologize for a roll, why do wrestlers?

Unfortunately some people took offense to this despite it being pure entertainment. Some threats were made against my life. I wanted to put this statement out to clarify where I as a person stand compared to my t.v. character. https://t.co/NJbnlMnn28
