In an official press release, AXS TV announced that the network will air NJPW’s third US event, the G1 Special in San Francisco, live on July 7 at 8 PM ET. 10,000 fans are expected to attend the upcoming event, which takes place at the Cow Palace.

It continues NJPW’s partnership with AXS TV after airing Strong Style Evolved in March 2018 and G1 Special in USA in July 2017, as well as the Friday Night NJPW series. Jim Ross and Josh Barnett will call the action at ringside.

AXS TV Fights CEO Andrew Simon said: “As NEW JAPAN PRO WRESTLING continues their U.S. expansion, we are proud to provide a platform for NJPW and TV Asahi to bring their electrifying events to as many fans as possible through our live, primetime broadcasts. The Cow Palace has a rich history of major pro wrestling events and we are excited to continue that tradition with our presentation of the G1 SPECIAL IN SAN FRANCISCO.

Announced talent for the card includes Kazuchika Okada, Kenny Omega, Tetsuya Naito, and Hiroshi Tanahashi. Tickets for the event are currently available on Ticketmaster.com.

AXS TV also airs its own NJPW TV series on Fridays, and it aired the last event for the promotion in the USA, which was Strong Style Evolved last March.
